The  University of the Philippines Astronomical Society (UP Astrosoc) is a non-profit, non-political and non-partisan organization in the University of the Philippines, Diliman established in 1991. UP Astrosoc now resides at the PAGASA Astronomical Observatory inside the UP Diliman Campus in Quezon City.

  1. Hi! This is Chris from Cavite. I have always been an astronomy enthusiast, ever since childhood. i just want to ask you, can I be a part of an astronomical society even though I am not a graduate of any astronomy/physics-related courses?

    • Hi Chris,

      Regarding your question, yes you can join amateur astronomy organizations even without a degree in Physics or Astronomy. In fact, most astro orgs in the Philippines are comprised of people coming from various fields and astronomy is uniting them all 🙂
